Allison Taplin
Allison lives in the Macedon Ranges region of Victoria Australia; she works full time as a registered nurse in a metropolitan hospital and paints in her snippets of spare time. Initially painting was a bereavement therapy after the loss of her son and she now creates in a small studio space – ‘Little Leif Studio’ – in his memory. The diverse Australian landscape is a constant source of inspiration – especially the big sky, wide open fields and tree-covered mountains of her surroundings. Painting and time spent in nature – whether wild or peaceful – is deeply comforting and rejuvenating.
