Jackie Anderson

Contemporary Artist | Abstracted Landscapes, Still Life & Colourful Abstract Art

Jackie Anderson is a New Zealand-born artist based in Newcastle, Australia. Working across abstracted landscapes, expressive still life paintings, and bold abstract works, her art is vibrant, joyful, and full of movement.

Inspired by travel, storytelling, and a love of colour, Jackie creates layered, intuitive compositions that blend real and imagined elements. Her work is defined by bold colour, abstract shapes, and spontaneous mark-making—inviting viewers into playful, expressive worlds.

Each piece begins with an abstract approach and evolves through a dynamic process of layering and discovery. Her paintings blur the line between representation and abstraction, offering fresh interpretations of nature, still life, and emotional landscapes.

Jackie was named the Jumbled Art Superstar in 2019 and has been a finalist in several major Australian art prizes, including the Fishers Ghost Art Award (2020) and the Gosford Art Prize (2024). Her work is regularly exhibited in group shows across Australia.

Jackie Anderson’s art brings colour, creativity, and contemporary energy to any collection.
