Lara Scolari, one of Australia’s most exciting emerging contemporary artists, will be bringing her work to Orange from 29th November to 10th December, when it will be showcased at The Corner Store Gallery.
Lara’s paintings have made a serious splash on the Australian art scene, featuring organic forms and fluid shapes, inspired by our Australian identity as an island continent. Renowned for her striking original artworks, she is featured in private and public collections all over the world.
Produced in an ‘abstract expressionist style’, the paintings use a variety of mediums to create depth. Lara’s use of tonal combinations and rich colour has been a hit with some of Australia’s leading interior designers.
Back to the Bush exhibits Lara’s love of the bush and Central West NSW and will be her last exhibition of 2018 before the new year sees her embark on such projects as a collaboration with Designer Rugs Australia (due to be released in early 2019).
Lara’s artworks have fans across the globe, from Santa Monica, where she recently represented Australia at The Other Art Fair LA this past October, to Sydney, where she is represented by the prestigious Maunsell Wickes Gallery.
This exhibition is a chance to view her stunning original artworks in person, allowing her multilayered organic forms to come to life, and create an enlivening space for contemplation. With every painting built up using a variety of media, each one explores the unseen energy, movement, life force and emotion beneath the surface, while reflecting the palette of our Australian landscape.
