Helen Chegwidden
Helen is an abstract artist who lives and works in Orange NSW.
Surrounded by views from her home overlooking rolling hills, vineyards and amazing skies. The ever changing colours and landscape are a constant source of inspiration. The use of inks, water colours and dry pigments are a large part of her practice. The natural flow and intense colour of these mediums allow Helen to experiment with texture, mark making and form.
Helen uses her experiences while out exploring nature, travelling or simply taking inspiration in the views from her home on a hill looking toward Mt Canobolas and over the beautiful vineyards of the Orange region. The colours, textures and patterns that seem to be in a constant state of change encourage Helen to use a range of media. Water colour, ink, dry pigment and charcoal are often combined to represent the landscape.
