Emma is a self taught ceramicist. She discovered her love for ceramics in high school, completing 3 unit ceramics for the HSC. These were exhibited in Art Express and selected for an overseas exhibition. She continued using her creativity practising as an Occupational Therapist for 25 years, when she experienced chronic burnout and sought refuge in art.

Emma has attended several courses at National Art School, Sydney exploring clay, hand building and surface decoration.

Emma was selected as a finalist in the Mini Series Art Prize with The Corner Store Gallery in 2023. She has exhibited at The Dubbo Art Fair 2024. Emma sells her work through several regional stores, markets and has been engaged to create commission pieces. Emma also teaches ceramic hand building workshops for adults throughout regional NSW.

Emma is highly influenced by the natural landscape and flora in regional Australia, African and European ceramics from her travels.
