Jan Spencer’s oil crayon collages are inspired by plein air drawings made while travelling, cycling and walking in Australia and overseas. She uses oil crayons on coloured papers which are torn or scoured into shapes, pasted on art board and sealed with varnish. The thick dense crayon plays with the torn edges of the coloured papers.

Jan was inspired by her sister’s recent trip to Antarctica. Damoy Hut is a UK Heritage Trust Museum on Dorian Bay. The window view is of kayak ventures out on the waters, framed by the kitchen artefacts in the museum

Artwork is available for collection or shipping within 7 days of purchase.

We charge a flat rate of $35 for all artworks within Australia, with an additional $5 added for each extra artwork purchased through our online store. All artworks are insured and come safely packaged. Any artwork marked for CUSTOM SHIPPING is either too large, too heavy or too delicate to ship with our flat rate and will need a custom shipping invoice.
