Johanna Wade, is a mixed media artist, she combines printing techniques, watercolours, inks, textiles and dyes to tell stories. She completed a Diploma of Visual Art in 2021 and a Certificate III in Visual Arts in 2019. Post-secondary school studied fashion design and patternmaking at the Melbourne College of Textiles. She worked in fashion as a patternmaker and designer in Melbourne’s clothing industry in the 80s and 90s before moving to regional Victoria. She completed an Arts degree at Deakin University majoring in journalism and public relations. She worked as a journalist at the local newspaper and as a communications manager and consultant, but always continued her creative work. Exhibitions include Connections, F Project Warrnambool, Fringe Exhibition, Eagles Nest Gallery Aireys Inlet, and the 2023 Melbourne’s Craft Contemporary Festival at the Forty-Five Downstairs Gallery in Flinders Lane.
The View from the Hill is inspired by the view from home looking north over the lake, and its colours change throughout the day and the season. On this morning the sky was an ominous purple/grey and about ready to thunderstorm over the dry paddocks, and this was the rain we’d been waiting for.

Artwork is available for collection or shipping after the closing date of the exhibition, September 22nd 2024.
We charge a flat rate of $35 for all artworks within Australia, with an additional $5 added for each extra artwork purchased through our online store. All artworks are insured and come safely packaged. Any artwork marked for CUSTOM SHIPPING is either too large, too heavy or too delicate to ship with our flat rate and will need a custom shipping invoice.
All online artwork sales are final and no refunds or returns will be accepted.
