"My work is in response to the aliveness, movement and energy of nature. I focus on capturing the feeling of light, colour, form and the textures within the composition. Delving deeply into observing and informing myself about the relationship of the elements in the landscape, my emphasis is on portraying a sense of presence, tranquillity, harmony and to create a sculptural scene. I invite the viewer to reflect on the impermanence of our surroundings and appreciate the cyclical nature of life."

Born in Malta, Kate Vella is a visual artist now living and working in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Since her first solo show in Sydney in 2019 Vella held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in other group shows and collaborations. Vella is the recipient of The Agency Bowral Still Life Art Prize 2022, The BOCCA HannahForbes Art Prize 2023 and finalist in Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize, Goulburn Art Award, Kangaroo Valley Art Prize and Meroogal Women's Art Prize.

Artwork is available for collection or shipping after the closing date of the exhibition, September 22nd 2024.

We charge a flat rate of $35 for all artworks within Australia, with an additional $5 added for each extra artwork purchased through our online store. All artworks are insured and come safely packaged. Any artwork marked for CUSTOM SHIPPING is either too large, too heavy or too delicate to ship with our flat rate and will need a custom shipping invoice.
