If the wind could whisper she would breathe a cool reminder down my neck...

"Feel this" she would say.

I would carry her weightlessness and allow it to keep me buoyant and agile. I would watch her effortlessly carve own path and allow myself to be swept up in her momentum. I would hold on to her power as a reminder of my place in this present moment.

Some childhood memories are so tactile that they will remain etched in the subconsious as a constant reminder of what it truly means to "feel".

If the wind could whisper, I would share her stories.

Timeless, tactile, and seductive, Morrison’s Excavated Landscapes are a truly magnetic experience. When we immerse ourselves in the viewing experience, we are making a bold claim that we deserve to be still, to be filled with wonder, and to experience the magic that we once knew but somehow forgot. Morrison’s paintings are a reminder that a single brush-stroke can transcend thought, and create a S-P-A-C-E of its own. One that leaves us standing somewhere in between. Each panel is an invitation for the curious mind to wonder, and question what beauty may be hidden just beneath the surface. Her performative layering and excavation processes reveal a rich history of perfect imperfection that gives endless depth to the two-dimensional surface. These paintings are created in collaboration with life. They are bold, and have an unforgiving intensity bound within the litres of paint on each surface. Fuelled by risk and the pure joy felt whilst walking within the Australian landscape, these paintingsare a true legacy of what it means to be stubborn in service of pure passion.
