Penelope Harrop is a self taught bead artist.  Her work is a modern exploration of colour through the ancient and universal arts of beads and weaving.  The repetitive shapes in this piece echo those used in Amish quilting, another slow, handmade creative endeavour.  The dozens of individual colours used in Penelope’s woven piece are carefully chosen to create a satisfying kaleidoscope of harmonising colours.

The art of weaving by hand is the epitome of a slow and mindful craft.  Thousands of tiny and delicate glass beads are woven together bead by bead to form a delicate and tactile fabric.

Artwork is available for collection or shipping after the closing date of the exhibition, February 24, 2024.

We charge a flat rate of $35 for all artworks within Australia, with an additional $5 added for each extra artwork purchased through our online store. All artworks are insured and come safely packaged. Any artwork marked for CUSTOM SHIPPING is either too large, too heavy or too delicate to ship with our flat rate and will need a custom shipping invoice.

All online artwork sales are final and no refunds or returns will be accepted.
