This series of plein air paintings explores the space between mankind and natural occurrence. It draws from the environment at Murwillumbah, portraying rural landscapes, farmland and distinctive forms unique to this place. Despite this control we have on our environment, nature has a persistent, soft resistance to defy our intentions. The way forward for us is a negotiation.
