Vanessa is a Brisbane artist inspired by still life arrangements and haphazard domestic beauty. Painted in acrylics, her works are centred on decorative vessels, botanicals and the everyday. A collector of ceramics, fabrics, art books and artworks, Vanessa loves to arrange her belongings into moody tableaux with a clash of colour and pattern, or imagine beautiful juxtapositions. Each painting is a melange of her inspirations, experiences, memories, nostalgia and surroundings.
