Yani Lenehan is a contemporary Australian artist living and working in Bathurst, New South Wales. Known for her expressive use of colour and joyful aesthetic, Yani creates vibrant artworks that celebrate the beauty in everyday life. Her inspiration comes from ordinary objects and daily surroundings, which she transforms into bold, uplifting compositions.

Yani has recently developed a captivating series inspired by Australian magpies. Since moving to Bathurst, she became fascinated by their bold presence and striking behaviour. Unlike other birds, magpies engage with their environment—and with people—in a way that feels almost confrontational. Yani explores this energy through expressive portraits that capture their confidence, cheekiness, and emotional range.
