Guest Curator Lucy Moss

Our Guest Curator this Month is Lucy Moss of Mink and Me fame in Coonamble. Lucy has curated a collection true to her very distinct fun and colourful aesthetic.

Lucy is the owner of Coonamble colour haven Mink and Me. Opened in 2015 due to a desire to be surrounded by a fun, welcoming space, it has evolved to be a community space that incorporates a cafe, yoga studio, hairdresser and beautician in the small North Western NSW town. The boutique business is an eclectic mix of gifts, jewellery, furniture and homewares that are good for your home and your soul.  Lucy also runs and operates an airbnb 'Peppertreee House' in a historic homestead in Coonamble as well as currently renovating an old Church into a community space. She lives on her husbands's family farm with her husband Will and sons Digby and Monty.

Alice Watson, The Bentwood, 2023

Mixed media on canvas, 83x83 framed

$2600

Ranunculas are the Princess of spring flowers and they are so well represented in this piece. A great combination of pinks, yellow and orange.

Jackie Anderson, Sunshine Cup, 2023

Mixed media on canvas, 23x23cm, framed in oak

$490

Big fan of Jackie's work and her use of colour and contrast.

Linda Kruger, Sliced Apple, 2023

Acrylic on canvas, 32.5x32.5cm, framed

$780

I love the combination of pinky red and soft greens in this piece. It has made for an interesting tablescape.

Rishelle Kent, Ormiston's Dawn, 2023

Acrylic and oil stick, 79x64cm, framed

$1950

Rishelle Kent is one of my favourite artists and this piece is a stunning example by her. Her landscapes are so whimsical and this one is no exception.

Yani Lenehan, Stripy Lemons, 2023

Oil on canvas, 43x43cm, framed in Tassie Oak

$650

Striped lemons - say no more! A quirky cute piece that I would love to hang on my lounge room gallery wall.

Julie Lynch, Gum Blossoms, Lemons & Sugar Bowl, 2023

Acrylic on canvas, 95x80cm framed

$2300

On our farm, where the old house used to be, red gum blossoms line the driveway. I often drive over there to try and snag a few bunches, so this piece reminded me to take a short drive this weekend. Stunning!

Jane Forbes, Window Gin, 2023

Acrylic on board, 78x78cm framed

$1500

Because who doesn't love gin? Window Gin sounds fun! Extra points for the use of turquoise and checks.

Tracy Waite, Walk and Explore, 2023

Mixed Media on board, 43x43 framed

$595

As a colour lover, this piece was love at first sight. **add to Christmas list**

Sophie Corks, He'll Look After You, 2023

Acrylic on Canvas, 28x28cm, framed

$470

The context and colours in the piece really drew me in - it is certainly eye catching and typical of any little small town garage (they should all be this bright and cheerful!)
