Nerrida Parfitt is an Australian artist based in Ballarat, in the Central Highlands of Victoria. She primarily works in oils from her home studio, drawing inspiration from the Australian landscape and her local surroundings. Her art blends observed natural elements with imagined constructs, creating a distinct aesthetic that combines Australian Gothic themes with surrealist undertones.

"After Hours" depicts an illuminated shopfront from a bygone era, quietly standing in a deserted street and evoking nostalgia and stillness.
