Stu Doherty is an Australian watercolour artist living on Biripi land Port Macquarie NSW, he graduated from the National Art School in 1990 (formerly East Sydney Technical College).

Doherty paints full time and also teaches watercolour painting from a local artist run co-op in Wauchope, he has exhibited in group shows at QCAD Gallery Brisbane, Lethbridge Gallery QLD, Rex Livingstone gallery Katoomba, Brunswick Street Gallery Melbourne, Corner Store Gallery Orange, Glasshouse Regional Gallery Port Macquarie and was a finalist in the 2023 Elaine Bermingham National Watercolour Prize. He was commissioned in 2023 to create public art for Bain Park Wauchope and this was unveiled in early 2024.

I pass these working buildings on Bellangry rd Beechwood when I drive to visit my sister, they are perfectly rusted by weather and time Watercolour allows me to convey the dreamy in-between time of dusk and dawn when details are few and edges are softened, during this special time of day I see my local landscape as constant inspiration.

Artwork is available for collection or shipping after the closing date of the exhibition, September 22nd 2024.

We charge a flat rate of $35 for all artworks within Australia, with an additional $5 added for each extra artwork purchased through our online store. All artworks are insured and come safely packaged. Any artwork marked for CUSTOM SHIPPING is either too large, too heavy or too delicate to ship with our flat rate and will need a custom shipping invoice.

All online artwork sales are final and no refunds or returns will be accepted.
