My name is Mel Hoey, and I live on a small block along the Lachlan River, just outside the town of Forbes, NSW, where we are treated to some of the most incredible sunrises and sunsets.

The rural Australian landscape offers so much opportunity to explore its varying palette and capture a sense of serenity. For our area, the vast expanses of grasses and tree lines contrast beautifully with the changing hues of the endless sky, creating visual harmony. I follow many rural women accounts on social media, and witness how our landscape inspires us to stop and appreciate the beauty of our area through the many sunsets shared. Using acrylic paints, playing with light and shadow, and experimenting with brush strokes, I hope to capture the calm that rural Australia embodies.

Shipping:

Artwork is available for collection or shipping after the closing date of the exhibition, September 22nd 2024.

We charge a flat rate of $35 for all artworks within Australia, with an additional $5 added for each extra artwork purchased through our online store. All artworks are insured and come safely packaged. Any artwork marked for CUSTOM SHIPPING is either too large, too heavy or too delicate to ship with our flat rate and will need a custom shipping invoice.

All online artwork sales are final and no refunds or returns will be accepted.
