Carolyn’s renewed interest in painting follows a career as a textile artist where her skills developed in colour and overdyeing. These skills are now applied to acrylic painting with added interest in the narrative of the painting. Her travel photographs are the inspiration to tell her personal story and the Donga has many stories to tell of outback travel and the fascinating people one meets along the way. This form of accommodation is unique in Australia, a container fitted out with all the comforts of home and found in some of the most beautiful parts of the outback.
