Claire is an intuitive Melbourne artist, who’s contemporary work is characterized by vibrant colors, intricate layers, and rich textures. She focuses on mark-making in her abstract and still life pieces, using color as a means to explore emotions and everyday experiences.

As an artist with an architecture background, Claire's favourite subjects are landscapes and still life and her works often grapple with the tension between simplicity and abundance, often with a sense of whimsy. Claire’s pieces express a deep sense of joy and presence, capturing the essence of life in the moment.

This piece explores both the joy and heartache of moving on. A piece centred around growth, love and compassion it is a comment on the person who's life is unfolding and the ones that are observers or 'support actors' in the show that is life.

Meant to be a soft and nostalgic piece, Star of the Show is also a piece that celebrates connections and joy which radiates in the almost luminous colouring and repetitive patterning throughout the painting.
