I am an emerging artist currently living and working in Newcastle, but originally from regional NSW. I work in heritage and draw inspiration from the buildings and meaningful objects in my surroundings. When not painting, I can be found cultivating the garden of our tiny urban block.

Growing up in the country, I would often spend time working in my parents' store, weighing and packaging loose leaf teas after school. This painting evokes strong emotions and memories, reminding me of the beautiful smells of the tea and peaceful birdsong from the trees outside the workbench.
