Primarily an oil painter since graduating from Newcastle Art School (Hunter TAFE), Leslie began creating collages using colour sample cards while on residency at the historic Nobbys Lighthouse on Newcastle harbour. Using only scissors and glue, with no pre-drawing, images are created by layering, giving a textural surface.
