Join Gallery Director and practicing artist Madeline Young for a fun afternoon of block printing. Madi will take you through the full process of hand-printing your own fabric from start to finish. You’ll design your own motifs, carve your own soft rubber stamps and learn how to make basic fabric prints.

Suitable for beginners, recommended for ages 12 and up. We will be using sharp tools so a cautious approach is recommended.

Vessels and Bud Vases with Emma Small

You will learn a fundamental principle of working with clay. How to make a pinch pot. You will build on this technique to make small bowls and then vases. You will be shown step by step, in a supportive environment so you feel confident creating your pieces.

You will get to choose from several glazes to decorate your pieces. 

All materials are provided, you get to just turn up and I do the rest. Every piece is individually dried, transported, fired in the kiln, then hand glazed, and fired in the kiln again.

You will be able to pick up your finished pieces from The Corner Store Gallery, 6 week later fully glazed and ready to use on you table, in your home or to gift to a loved one.

Esteemed textile artist Pippita Bennett will guide you through the process of making your own stitched landscape vessel. You will gain insight into how she creates her textile landscapes. These beautiful objects are built around a glass jar and can be used to hold flowers or treasures.
