Tavia Lyons is an emerging artist based in Molong NSW, with a creative arts background in graphic design and visual arts. Currently completing further artistic development in visual arts, Tavia is studying an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts at TAFE, Orange NSW. She has a strong interest in learning and experimenting and her current works are a collective of paintings and mixed media artworks that are an exploration of the landscape that surrounds and grounds her. The Caleula Range has been a great influence and connects her to nature and the land. Experimenting with a limited palette of acrylics and incorporating mixed media and repurposing artistic resources, she has responded to the landscape using different techniques and differing styles to interpret her response.

The artwork Caleula Range in summer is a mixed media artwork on canvas. With a interest in sustainability and repurposing, the artwork has be created by recycling used paint palette parchment and left over paint to create a mixed media collage reflecting the colour and energy of the surrounding Caleula Range in the Central West of New South Wales.
