Marissa Lico is an Australian artist based in the Central West of New South Wales. ‘Street Corner Stories' is inspired by a memorable moment during my travels in Sicily, where wandering off the beaten path often led to meaningful interactions. This piece reflects a quiet street scene where elderly locals were deep in conversation—a moment I joined, bridging worlds through shared stories. Layered mixed media brings depth to this work, inviting the viewer into that dialogue. My hope is that it sparks a sense of connection, as though you, too, are part of the conversation, transported to the heart of Sicily's timeless charm.
