Alice Trow is an artist living and creating on Wadawurrung Country, Victoria, having relocated after graduating from the Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2017. Alice’s practice stems from a deep love for nature and a desire to capture fleeting moments of beauty; taking inspiration from seasonal changes as well as the transformative quality of light and how this adds to the feeling of a place. As a result, her paintings are often quiet, calm and reflective.

'Summer Evening, Port Fairy', my final painting for 2024, was an experiment in capturing the feeling of being by the ocean without actually depicting it--an ode to peaceful Summer evenings spent on the coast.
